Live music lives!

The Engine (Baldock) 15th Sep 07

I first went to see Crop Circle because their guitarist is a friend of my next door neighbour′s — I now go and see them because they′re excellent. Great music played by people who obviously enjoy what they′re doing although it bothers me slightly that I probably possess 99% of the songs they play!

Very entertaining as always at The Engine on Saturday — glad to know that decent live music still exists in this country and you don′t have to pay £100 (Police tickets anyone?) to get in!

If you haven′t seen them, and your record collection is overloaded with 60s, 70s and 80s rock, make the effort — after all, what′s wrong with having a good time?

Great show

Seamus O′Butchers (Potters Bar) 12th May 07

A night of high energy good rocking entertainment was to be had at Seamus′s bar on Saturday. The Crop Circle boys went up a notch to keep the packed house on the dance floor. The band have come on leaps and bounds with some great guitar work from Dave Carter, backing vocals from Dave and new boy bass player Rhett who has fitted in great and does a fine job on bass, complementing Colin′s lead vocals giving a great sound. The band cover songs from AC/DC to Abba! — definitely something for everyone, all played with an enviable level of musicianship; as well as great music the band and the audience have a ball. Make sure you catch the Circle soon — you will not be disappointed!

Rocking on

Seamus O′Butchers (Potters Bar) 16th Sept 06

Well, I am reliably informed that this is the biggest audience that Seamus′s has had for a while, so well done to Crop Circle for pulling the punters in!

I wasn′t sure what to expect from the band at the sound check, but once the gig got under way I wasn′t disappointed. Some good old rock covers, Rolling Stones, Thin Lizzy, The Who, Quo etc. A short break whilst the band regrouped, then into rocking versions of tunes from Abba and Soft Cell no less made a good change from the usual fare!

A good blend of music and a great sound from the lead guitar and excellent vocals made this punter wanting more.

I look forward to seeing Crop Circle again, the next time they′re down this way.

Crop Circle seriously rock!

The Engine (Baldock) 27th Aug 06

At the end of a weekend of music Crop Circle effectively headlined at a packed Engine. I have seen this band several times before and they just get better and better. They put on a fantastic show with lighting rig and PA. I doubt you will see a better covers band ANYWHERE on the local circuit.

An excellent band highly recommended to punters and landlords alike! Rock on guys, you are the best!

What a hot night!

The Force & Firkin (Cheshunt) 18th Jun 05

The temperature was steaming at the F & F but Crop Circle did not hold back in any way playing three thunderous sets in the baking heat! What a tight band. A solid powerful rhythm section drove the band though excellent covers, AC/DC, Stones, Who, Bryan Adams and REM to name but a few. A cracking vocalist and lead guitarist put the icing on the cake. These guys are really good. Go and check them out, you wont be disappointed.

Another great gig

The Harrier (Hatfield) 26th Feb 05

I very much enjoyed the gig. It was another great performance! The band got the crowd wound up, as usual, and had the place rocking by the end of the night. It just gets better and better!

Crop Circle

The Harrier (Hatfield) 04th Feb 05

I am over from the States for a few weeks and I was looking for a good night out, and as this gig was for a good cause, I went to see Crop Circle. This band was fantastic! It amazes me to think this was their first public appearance. The band was first rate and the vocalist was flawless in his performance. It didn′t hurt that the folks in the audience were enjoying themselves so much that the band couldn′t leave the stage without an encore! And they obliged... with the crowd joining in, as well as dancing. I was very pleased to find out that Crop Circle will have another gig while I am here and I will be there without a doubt. This is definitely a band to follow in the future. Wish I lived closer!!!
